Dec 6, 2011 - I had two GNX's. One I bought and one my brother bought. Both new. They were cool but they are overblown on performance. My brothers GNX even with a performance chip was doing low 14 sec 1/4 miles. I even raced a friends GN in my GNX (stock) and was only beating him by 31 hp. Yep 245 vs 276! I liked the car for what it was but let's get real here. They weren't that fas. Now about my 1970 stage one Buick GS... THAT is fast! Just my experience.

Jan 27, 2012 - My life would be complete if I owned one of the 547 GNX's made. You simply cannot beat that motor. It's fucking awesome!

LS1350Camaroz28 Says:

Feb 1, 2012 - Then apparently you dont know how to drive it. My almost bone stock Grand National is as fast or faster than a LS1 Camaro/Trans Am or a Mustang.

LS1350Camaroz28 Says:

Feb 1, 2012 - FYI, the 3.8 Turbo was NOT in the Syclone and Typhoon, they had the 4.3 Turbo AWD setup.

grandcreator11 Says:

Feb 15, 2012 - didnt that car have an axel in the back that allowed the car to raise up in the rear right before it pealed off?

n2ocomet Says:

Feb 18, 2012 - What transmission in these cars? 350, 400 or 700

3636jae Says:

Feb 18, 2012 - EL Negro Auto Wonder if Jay Leno owns one of these? For something to be that fast in the 80's, only a V6.... that's crazy

SANSOOSON Says:

Feb 26, 2012 - @grandcreator11 I'm not sure what it was that caused the car to raise up like it does right before it took off, but I had the pleasure of seeing one let loose at the light one time and the way the back raises right before take off is just a fucking joy to see lol

timmiet47321 Says:

pizza3330 Says:

Mar 3, 2012 - they should have put a big block v8 in it

coololds85 Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - Im not really the kind of guy to do burn outs with these Grand Nationals. I know everybody does for fun but I rather play it safe so I wont have to buy new tires from burning my trend down.

coololds85 Says:

Mar 9, 2012 - I wish I could buy a grand national cant find any for cheap

LS1350Camaroz28 Says:

Mar 10, 2012 - #1 the Syclone and Typhoon had 4.3 V6, not the same as the GN. #2 The reason the rear end lifted was because the GNX came with a ladder bar on it. Mounted to the rear differential, and another point just behind the transmission, this kept the rear end from rotating under torque load, and since it couldnt rotate, it lifted. Such a site to see.

LS1350Camaroz28 Says:

Mar 10, 2012 - N2ocomet- They used the 200r4 transmission, which everyone knows is garbage. Lol.

DaBomb31290 Says:

Mar 12, 2012 - GNX = Forever cool.
