"Still asleep, Tanya, but that shouldn't be discussed in the meeting." Tanya rolled her eyes. "Professor McGonagall has asked me to remind you to memorise all school rules as last week Michael here..." She pointed at a brown haired Slytherin who was in fits of silent laughter. "...told two Hufflepuff girls to take off their shirts because it was Shirtless Girl Day in Hogwarts and it said so in the rulebook. He was wrong. He also told a young boy to stop throwing stink pellets at teachers because the rules say that extra large stink bombs are much more effective. He was wrong. The rules say that all students must wear their entire uniform, including shirts and students should not abuse any professor in any way and if they do, they risk expulsion. Michael, you're lucky you have such a good handle on you house otherwise your position as Prefect would have been evaluated. Please try to refer to the real rules or next time you'll get a warning." "Alright darling. I'll do it for you." He smiled at her. "Thank you. That concludes our meeting. If you have any questions ask me on your way out. If not, I'll see you in two weeks." Hermione rushed out of the door straight away and made her way to her Transfiguration lesson on the first floor. Harry, however dawdled behind. "Yes?" Ginny asked him. "You know when you said that Draco didn't really like Hermione...?" "I meant questions about your duties, Harry." "How do you know? Who have you seen him with?" Ginny ground her teeth together and her hands balled up into tight fists. "Who haven't I seen him with!" She slammed her book and parchment down on the table and watched as the parchment floated down to the ground. Both she and Harry fell to the floor to pick them up and they looked into each other as they knelt on the ground. Ginny smiled for the first time in days. "What?" Harry said with a small chuckle. "Nothing." She looked away and stood with a handful of parchment. "You should stop worrying about Hermione. She can do what she wants." "But that doesn't mean that things will turn out okay for her. I don't want to see her get hurt." I do Ginny thought. The rest of the day flew by for Hermione. She hadn't thought of Draco the whole day and got really involved in Transfiguration, Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies. She was glad that he wasn't in any of her lessons that day, but she dreaded tomorrow. He would be in every one. Hermione finished writing her Transfiguration essay titled How to transfigure to conceal. She found it quite easy to list the many ways that gigantic structures can be transfigured and concealed with a flick of a wand and how that required years of practice, the right words, imagination and faith. Hermione let her hair lay on her shoulders and pulled her cloak on as she left her dormitory. She had resorted to doing all of her homework on her bed or on the floor beside it rather then having to sit by the fire with everyone else commenting on her quiet manner. All she would get in her dorm was "It's someone's time of the month," from Parvati. She hadn't even asked her what was up and that was the way Hermione liked it. She quickly strode through the common room. Ron called her and she stopped mid stride. "Could you give me hand?" he said pointing with his quill at a large book that was on his lap. "Get your girlfriend to look over it," she called over her shoulder. She could read Ron like a book. Hermione had to patrol the Grand Staircase and the Entrance Hall that evening, so she paced the stairs for a few hours while she decided that she would speak to Draco in their Potions class tomorrow morning. She realised that it was unfair that they both participated in the best night ever and she just blanked him as if it never happened. She missed him and she could see that he was missing her. He didn't look like he had any sleep and he wasn't at the prefect meeting that morning. I miss him so much Hermione thought sadly. Instead of completing her last half an hour of patrolling, Hermione turned and ran from the ground floor stairs and up towards the fifth. Just as she turned to run up the third floor stairs a pair of hands seemed to have flung out from nowhere and sent her crashing backwards down the stairs.
