In March of 1985 LEMBERG Studio, a highly acclaimed interior design studio in Berlin, Germany, presented its new collection of designer sofas. Jack N. Mohr was commissioned to create the brochure/catalog of their new product line and organized a photo shooting session with photographer Hartwig Klappert in his downtown studio. Seven people, the photographer with two assistants, Mr. Lemberg and two furniture movers, the two models, and Jack (directing the shooting) worked non-stop in a 12 hours long session. During these hours Jack took his Pentax SLR camera with a high-speed black white film and shot a series of photos "off the record" — without using any special lighting or a flash. These photographs perfectly expose the atmosphere behind the scenes of that day. A selection of these photos was shown during the presentation event for the new collection and then exhibited through the following weeks at the LEMBERG Studio. Now, about 25 years later, the original exhibition photos lost or damaged, Jack found the old negatives. After so many years and having relocated several times — the last move to another continent — these negatives were not in good shape at all anymore. Using a Nikon 35 mm slide scanner Jack scanned the pictures and cleaned them electronically from dirt, dust and scratches to be printed on an Epson Stylus photo printer. All photos are printed in the size of 7.5" x 10" on matte archival paper in an edition of 10, each individually numbered and signed.
