The shrill of the final bell brought Rosie out of her daydream. Blinking her eyes, she grabbed onto reality and got up to leave for the day. After a quick visit to her locker and a goodbye to Rylee, she started the mile walk to her house. The sky above was crystal clear, not a single cloud floating by. Bright beams of sun trickled down hitting the earth, making the heat rise. Rosie entered her neighborhood. People were outside, kids playing with nearby kids, mothers watering the flower beds in front. The sound of lawn mowers were heard throughout the neighborhood. Her eyes wandered to Andrew's old house that was coming up, only to be stopped in her tracks. A large white truck was parked in the driveway. The back was opening, showing that the inside was filled with boxes and furniture. Squinting her emerald eyes, Rosie saw a woman come out to get more boxes. She took a few steps closer to get a better look. Only then, the woman turned around and made eye contact with Rosie, smiled, and waved. That's when Rosie realized she knew this woman. That was Andrew's mom. Soon, Rosie's legs were pumping fast as she sprinted the block to her house. Turning the corner, she sprinted down the last street to her house. Skidding to a stop, her eyes focused on her house. Standing by the tree out front was a familiar figure. His dirty blonde hair was cut into a shag, just barely hanging over his oceanic eyes. A smile was formed on his lips as he made eye contact with Rosie, shifting himself up as he no longer rested against the big sycamore tree. "Andrew!!" Rosie squeeled as she dropped her bags and ran towards him. Once she reached him, she threw her arms around his neck and held him in a tight embrace. Andrew chuckled as he wound his toned arms around her slim waist. Rosie pulled away, smiling so wide it surprised Andrew her face didn't break. "Its good to see you Rosie." Andrew chuckled, yet again. He loved to see Rosie this happy and ecstatic. Always have, always will. "I can't believe you moved back! Oh my gosh, we have SO MUCH to catch up on!" Rosie threw her arms back around him. "I missed you so freakin much!" Andrew pulled away, laughing histerically. "Did you pour a pound of sugar in your cereal this morning?" Rosie's fist met Andrew's shoulder in a friendly way. "Pft no....lets go inside." They walked up to the front door and went inside. The sudden shrills of yelling filled the house. The voices of Rosie's parents were loud in the house. They were fighting, yet again. Rosie huffed out an angry breath as her cheeks flushed a cherry red, embarassed that Andrew was hearing all of this. "Mom, Dad!" Rosie yelled, making them stop and looking at her. Rosie's mom ran her hand through her hair, frustrated. "Hi sweetie. Right now isn't the time to talk. Lets talk later, okay?" Mumbling, Rosie grabbed Andrew's hand and led him up the stairs to her room, slamming the door behind her. "I am so sorry you had to hear that, Andrew." Rosie sat down on the edge of her bed. Andrew sat next to her shrugging. "Its fine, really." "They didn't even aknowledge you." Rolling her eyes, Rosie looked out the window. Andrew pulled Rosie in for a hug. "Just forget about it, Rose." Rosie looked up at Andrew's blue eyes. The butterflies that were in her memories were suddenly there now, in reality. She felt her heart start to skip a beat quickly. As she studied his face, she realized how...perfect he looked. This was no longer the little 8th grade boy she once knew. He was grown up. Rosie quickly looked away, afraid that he could read her expressions. Turning back to him, she smiled. "Lets catch up, shall we?" Rosie saw a smile curve onto his lips. They spent the rest of the day talking and laughing with each other. They told each other practically everything that happened from when Andrew drove off in the moving truck to now. They talked about every little thing. It was as if nothing had ever changed, as if he had never left for 3 years. Rosie felt so happy around him. She just always wanted to smile in his presence. They kept talking until around 10 o'clock, until Rosie ended up falling asleep in Andrew's arms. Andrew looked down at Rosie as she slept peacefully. He smiled to himself, seeing how beautiful she had gotten. He had missed her deeply, and to finally have her in his arms made him happy.
