Episode 84! Katherine's POV: I was sitting on the floor next to Justin, in front of the fireplace, wrapped in towels and simply enjoying the warmth. After spending several minutes outside, during a storm, I think it was pretty normal for us to be cold. I shivered, not only because of the cold, but also because of the storm. I wasn't as scared as I was earlier, but I was still a little nervous, so I leaned back against the couch, closed my eyes and exhaled deeply, just trying to relax. "You all right, Kate?" Justin asked. "I guess..." I replied. He stood up and sat on the couch on which I was leaning. A few seconds later, I felt his hands massaging my back, shoulders and neck. "Geez, Kate, you're so tensed! Relax..." he said. I did so, (I guess the massage helped) and we both dove into silence. All we could hear was the crackling of the fire and the tik tok of the clock. Justin didn't stop massaging me until he thought I was calm enough. After a good ten minutes, I realized the storm was over, so I sighed in relief. I glanced at the clock. It was quite late... or early, since it was now a new day. I yawned as my eyes started closing themselves without me allowing them to do so. I wanted to stay awake with Justin. He started stroking my hair and said, "If you're tired, you should go to sleep." "Mmm...maybe..." I mumbled. He stood up, grabbed my hand and helped me up. "I'm going to bed too anyway." We walked up the stairs, but I wasn't fully aware of it since I was half asleep. Next thing I knew, I was back in my bed, comfortable and warm. My eyes were closed but I heard my boyfriend who was trying to leave quietly. I did say 'trying', because it was a huge fail. He bumped into some furniture, which made a lot of noise. "Stay..." I muttered, still half asleep. "What?" I heard him say. "Stay," I repeated. "I want you to stay with me tonight." He didn't reply but soon enough, he was lying next to me. "You're crushing Mr. Ted," I told him. "How would you know that? Your eyes are closed." "Mr. Ted always sleeps on the left side of the bed," I pointed out as I opened my eyes. "See? He's right there. You're crushing him." Justin sat up and took my stuffed bear. He chuckled. "Sorry, Mr. Ted," he said, talking to it. "That's all right, he forgives you." Justin laughed, lied back down and said, "I can't believe you still sleep with him." "It was a gift from my grand-mother..." There was the awkward silence. My grandma had died three years ago. We were very close, and it made me extremely sad to think about it. Mr. Ted was the only souvenir I had of her. He used to be hers, and he once had her smell. The smell I liked so much: a mix of vanilla and lavender. But the smell faded away a few weeks after she died... and I was afraid of forgetting her, that's why I kept Mr. Ted. It was already bad enough that I had difficulty to picture her face... I started tearing up, but I didn't show it. "Sorry..." Justin muttered, obviously feeling guilty and uncomfortable. "I didn't know." I sighed, moved closer to him and laid my head on his chest, but didn't answer. I sniffed and closed my eyes. "Are you...are you crying?" "I'm not," I lied. He lifted my chin and looked at me. "You are. Gosh, Katie, I'm sorry!" he said, all happiness now gone from his face. "It's ok, it's been a long time. I'm too emotional." "I promised myself I would never make you cry ever again... I'm so stupid!" "Hey, stop it, you're not! I told you, I'm fine!" I smiled at him. "Don't worry!" He sighed and held me tighter. "Sorry..." "Forget it... It's fine." We both stopped talking, and soon enough, I fell asleep, holding both Justin and Mr. Ted. Justin's POV: I woke up early the next morning. Katherine was sleeping soundly next to me, and I didn't want to wake her up even though I had to go home. I carefully took my arms off her and got out of bed. Katherine moved and moaned softly, but she didn't wake up. Good. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen on her desk, wrote a little note and placed it on the bedside table. I then gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and tiptoed down the stairs. "Where are you going?" someone asked just as I was about to leave the house. --- comment / like ? =)
