I stained the island with ren-brown with a black glaze finish. The island has a built in trash pullout and a file type cookie sheet storage area. Dividers for the everyday silverware. Each end is open for cook books or simply decorative space. The island has 4 industrial casters, 2 that lock. The furniture fronts have a 1/4" clearence above the floor so it appears to be setting on the floor. It moves easily across the floor even fully loaded. There is no electrical or plumbling in the island. The counter top still needs to be edged and sanded and the wood cleats attached to the underside so I can attach the counter top to the island. That will be done in 2 days. Then we will take some pictures and a video of the kitchen so you can see how it turned out.
