Mar 12, 2012 - Handgun accuracy is a bit of a myth if you ask me. Guys like to talk about how "accurate" this or that handgun is. Handgun accuracy depends 95% on the hands holding the gun. If you don't believe that, just put a laser sight on any gun and film even the best shooter at target practice. You will see that the bullet consistently hits where the laser points. If someone calls a handgun less accurate than another you can bet that that guy just doesn't shoot it well.

Mar 12, 2012 - I ran out of room. I personally have a tendency to anticipate recoil and dip the nose of the gun down in anticipation of the recoil. The longer I go without shooting the more this has an affect on me. If I stay in practice I can keep it to a minimum. So if I shoot these two guns side by side my guess is that I would shoot the .22 a little more accurately because of the tame recoil.

Apr 16, 2012 - One of he reasons some people say that one gun is more accurate than another is because of its ergonomics, or lack thereof. If a gun is too small for your hand it will effect you accuracy. And I have bought guns that needed to be tweaked right out of the box (elevation off, whatever). But I agree, in most cases it's the shooter, not the gun.
