Joe: What would prompt you to such a question? Mae: *blushes* Well, Your Majesty, since you're asking, I've been wondering where that visitor came from 2 months ago, when all that trouble was still stirring. He had long blonde hair was fair of face- Joe: *scowls* What about him? Mae: *trembles* Begging your pardon! But I think I've seen him near the edges of Mythwood and he looked different than the last time I saw him with Lady Demetria. Joe: You've seen him? When? Mae: Four days ago, but I think I saw him, it was really foggy and damp that day. Joe: Hmmm....and you said he looked different, how? Mae: Well I would say he looked more fair, but he was definitely taller than he was when he carried Demetria- Joe: WHAT?! Mae: When he carried Demi into my room. Joe: WHEN?! And did WHAT?! Mae: *trembling* T-The night she died. I guess she was attacked or about to be attacked by somebody and he saved her. He told her he had to go back to his people because the power shielding them was waning. She asked if she could come with him since everyone hated her and you were going to kill her the next day for slapping you. Joe: *frowns* She thought I was going to kill her...? Mae: *nods* Joe: *sighs* Continue. Mae: The guy said he couldn't take her because you would start war and then he said something about elves and the Enemy. Joe: Is that all? Mae: *shakes her head* He told her he loved her. Joe: *outraged* WHAT?! *shakes Mae* What did she say?! Mae: *scared* She said she loved you... Joe: *relaxes* Is that it? Mae: *shaking* T-There was another attack but she didn't get hurt, the guy did. He...he started to...glow, Your Majesty. Glow like a star...and then he killed this creature and saved her again, I'm guessing. He was severely wounded but by the amount of blood that was spilling on the floor, he should've been dead. Of course, after that, I ran back to the Lady Demetria's room to tell the others but she came in after me seconds later. Joe: *thinks for a minute* When you saw him four days ago, did he see you? Mae: I'm most certain he did. I was at the edge of the market at the time, asking any blacksmith if he made the rune of this ointment. I had just finished talking to the steel blacksmith when I was somethin' out of the corner of my eye near the edge of the forest. There was a dense fog hugging the trees making everything seem like a dream, if you take my meaning. As I got closer, I could smell smoke but it wasn't natural, Your Majesty. It was sickening and I was getting dizzy when all of sudden, there stood a gray horse breathing heavy and mounted on the horse was the visitor but he didn't feel natural either. He looked from side to side and then there were other horses, it was amazing how these horses could run so quietly and when I saw amazing, it was more like unreal, so I would think. The scent was getting unbearable and I couldn't understand how they could stand it when of them said something, but it wasn't in the common speech, but it sounded beautiful as the world started to spin. And I think, just before I passed out, the visitor mouthed a word to me. Joe: What word? Mae: 'Help' 15+ comments! Hmm...I guess I'll do a marathon for this series to catch up. :) jemijonaslover
