I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I sat with a groan and rubbed my eyes. I hit the off button on my clock and slid the blanket off of me. I sighed and walked to my closet grabbing my outfit for today. Selena's Outfit: http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=29888874 I'm Selena Marie Gomez. I'm 16 and I live with my 19 year old sister, Mila Karine Gomez. Our parents died in a car accident about a year ago, so I moved in with her in New York. I've been living here with her for about a year now. I've made some amazing friends at my school, but some people I still haven't had the chance to meet. I'm not real outgoing. I'll only talk if I'm spoken to, and I speak my mind. I tell the truth and nothing but the truth, even if it hurts people. I have a very unique style. A lot of people categorize me as gothic, but I'm not all black, I throw bright neon colors in with my clothes. I wear nothing but converse and lots of bracelets. Anyway I got dressed and went downstairs to see my sister cooking breakfast, which is terrible because she can't really cook. I smiled at her "hey sis." She coughed as she swatted away the smoke coming off the burner. "Hey Sel" she said as she turned the stove off and looked at me. "Mila, I'm just gonna go straight to school, I'll skip breakfast today" I told her with a smile. She sighed and looked at me with sorrow "I'm sorry Sel, I'm trying." I nodded "I know sis, you don't always have to do everything though." She smiled "come right home after school." I nodded "Ok" I kissed her cheek "see ya after school sis." I ran outside just in time for the bus to pull up to the driveway. I hopped onto the bus and took my normal seat next to my best friend Demi Lovato. We've been best friends since I moved here. We met on the bus when her seat was the only empty seat left. We then found out that we had almost every class together except 5 period. We've been best friends ever since. Demi's 16 as well and is about a month older then me. My birthday is July 22nd and her's is August 20th. I sat down next to Demi and sighed. She smiled at me "what's wrong Sel?" I looked at her with a slight smile "Mila tried to make breakfast again this morning and epically failed, so I didn't get to eat, and I'm so hungry." Demi giggled "Well, you can't be mad at her, it's been a year and she's still getting use to taking care of a 16 year old." I nodded "I know, but I'm still hungry." Demi smiled that wide beautiful smile of hers "well, lucky for you today they're actually serving breakfast in the cafeteria." I smiled and sighed with relief "thank goodness." The bus dropped of us off at the high school in town, and Demi and I ran right to the cafeteria. I ordered a cinnamon toaster struddle and paid the amount due. I carried my tray over to the table Demi and I sit at in the morning and ate my breakfast. After I ate my food Demi and I went to our first period class. The day went by quickly. At the end of the school day I walked to my house with Demi. "I'M HOME!" I yelled as I walked through the door. I threw my bag on the floor and walked to the kitchen, as Demi sat on the couch. I looked through the refrigerator and found hot pockets. I put the frozen food into the microwave, set the correct time, and hit the start button, only to sit there in silence. I was confused. I then noticed the microwave was unplugged. I bent over, picked up the wire, and was close to plugging it in when a spark flew out. I was worried but tried again. I again was close to plugging it in, except this time it was an extreme shock, and everything went black.
